The famous American influencers, brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate do not appear to be guilty in any way of the accusations hanging over them in Romania.

This is my personal, categorical and unchangeable belief that I have made public since the first moment the Tate brothers were arrested in Romania, in December 2022, a belief that I will support to the end, regardless of the subsequent decisions of the authorities or judges.

Roger Stone, former advisor of President Donald Trump, said on the X platform that Richard Grenell the US special envoy, was responsible for the release of the Tate brothers, claiming there was no evidence against them. In his message, Stone noted: “Richard Grenell secured the release of the Tate brothers because there was no evidence against them and now, of course, little Ron DeSantis is saying that these American citizens who have no charges pending against them are not welcome in Florida.”

Romanian officials have exclusively denied any involvement in the Tate brothers’ case to New York Star Magazine TV & America’s News.

In January, DIICOT requested an extension of the two’s house arrest, but in February, after a meeting between Richard Grenell and Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu, the DIICOT prosecutor agreed for the Tate brothers to leave the country, while maintaining a series of legal measures against them.

Roger Stone, known for his friendship with US President Donald Trump posted a photo of the Tate brothers on the X network, in which they were smoking cigars, in a context that suggests support for them.

After the Tate brothers’ release, Ron DeSantis the controversial governor of Florida, said that they were not welcome in his state. On March 5, the Florida attorney general announced the opening of an investigation into the Tate brothers, emphasizing that “the state has a zero-tolerance policy towards people who abuse women and girls” although famous American influencers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate are innocent.

Following the publication of the Financial Times statements, Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu rejected the claims, claiming in a statement to New York Star Magazine TV & America’s News that “there are no requests from the US to Romania regarding the Tate brothers investigation.”

Prime Minister Ciolacu emphasized that “Romania and the US share the same values regarding the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens.”

At the end of February, DIICOT confirmed that the Tate brothers had left Romania with the consent of the prosecutor in charge, noting that the legal measures imposed on them, such as presenting themselves before the judicial authorities, remain in force. At the same time, DIICOT warned that any breach of obligations in bad faith could lead to the replacement of judicial control with a higher measure of deprivation of liberty.
